

I'm Jaime Abollado
GAME DESIGNER & LEVEL DESIGNER
Greetings! I'm Jaime Abollado.
My fascination with the videogame industry started with my first ps1, with classics like "Spyro" or "Toy Story 1". I came from a big family with a lot of younger cousins. I found myself creating games and activities for my family in every meeting, from fighting to save our kingdom with our mighty sticks found in the backyard to an epic adventure through misterious lands in the garage.
Always fascinated with animals and designing fantasy creatures from an early age, I kept drawing for most of the time until i started my videogame degree back in Madrid (U-Tad). I have always had an open mind to all fields in the industry, though I have spent most of my time reinforcing my abilities in level design, character design, and the link for the art department, helping with art references and concepts.
I try to stay creative with personal projects such as videogame prototypes, comics, concept art, or modeling... Also, I'm a big fan of trying all possible mechanics from videogames in real life to try to captivate those feels into the gameplay that will experience my players... Such as driving different cars, motorbikes, boats and planes; going to a shooting range to see the difference between different weapons; or learning and studying different cultures.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON:
THE LEGENDS OF THE NINE REALMS
Level design
Worked from the base with design documentation, art references, blockout, dressing and final product. In this project the team is bigger, helping to improve communication skills to be as efficient as possible as a team.

Level design
One of the two level designer working in a combat multiworld game with their own mechanics and dragons in each world. I really enjoyed the opportunity of creating levels based in different worlds.

Level design
One of the two of the level designers in the project. My rol was from creating documentations of each level with great depth in the flow of the player through the level, art references and guidance to help the artists to dress the level with the narrative as incorporated as possible.
This project helped me to learn how to administrate a open-world, and dress it with a balanced gameplay scattered in the map. Also it improved my skills with cinemachine to help players with the camera orientation, this way we were able to create most of the guidance diegetic, without the use of UI

Improved my teamwork skills with all departments integrated in a big team. Also was my first experience balancing a multiplayer PvP/PvE game, which was a great opportunity to learn from my veteran colleges.
